the 4th division of fusiliers (Soviet Union)

The the 4th division of fusiliers is a unit of Infanterie belonging to the Red Army with 1921 with 1945.

History

This division of infantry is created during the Civil war Russian, in 1921, and engaged on the Western face.

  • Until 1923 its district-general is installed with Minsk;
  • During years 1930 it belongs to the 5th body of fusiliers, stationed in Bielorussia.
  • July 1941: it is part from now on of the 3rd body of fusiliers of the armed 46e, in the military district of Transcaucasie.
  • August 1942: it takes part in the combat of the the Caucasus.
  • April 1943 - May 1944: it is detached on the face (i.e. the Groupe of armies) of the Baltique, within the framework of the 11th army.
  • January 1945: within the 25e body of fusiliers of the armed 69e, it takes share with the engagements for the head of bridge of Pulawy; very tested at the time of this battle, its manpower are not any more but of six battalions.
  • April 1945: always within the armed 69e it takes part in the Bataille of Berlin.

  • 40e regiment of artillery .

  • 1923 : it receives the honorary title of " In the name of the Proletariat allemand" ;

  • 1945 : on its flag it can register the name of " Beshitsa".
