Yssel-superior
The Yssel-Superior is old a French department whose chief town was Arnhem.
The territory of the old department of Yssel-Superior is located at the Netherlands and corresponds to that of the current province of Gueldre (Gelderland).
It had three districts:

Arnhem, canton S: Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Barneveld, Brummen, Ede, Elburg, Harderwijk, Hattem, Nijkerk, Twello, Vaassen, Velp, Wageningen, Zevenaar.
- Tiel, cantons: Bemmel, Elst, Geldermalsen, Tiel.
- Zutphen, cantons: Aalten, Borculo, Doesburg, Doetinchem, Eibergen, Gendringen, Groenlo, 's-Heerenberg, Lochem, Terborg, Vorden, Warnsveld, Winterswijk, Zutphen.
The department was created on January 1st, 1811, following the annexation of the Royaume of Holland on July 9th, 1810.
