Yecuana

The Yecuana , so known under the names of Ye' kuana , Maiongong , Maquiritare , So' to are people indigenous living with the borders of the Brésil and the Venezuela, of the linguistic Famille Karib.

Neighbors of the Yanomami, of which they do not share the language nor the culture. To indicate themselves, they use the name So' to , which results in " gens" or " personne". In the year 2000, their population amounted to 430 to Brazil and 4800 in Venezuela.
