Yang Guifei

Beautiful the Yang Guifei (Chinese simplified: 杨贵妃; traditional Chinese: 楊貴妃; Pinyin: Yáng Guìfēi, 719 - 756) was the favorite concubine (it is the direction of the word guifei ) of the emperor Xuanzong of the Tang, who reigned of 712 with 756.

Its family benefitted from her favor and knew a conflict of being able with the general An Lushan. This one started in 755 a rebellion which fired the empire and with blood, Luoyang took and went on the capital Chang' year, current the Xi' year.

The emperor flees towards the Sichuan with Yang Guifei and his family, but its guard obliged it to let hang its favorite. Inconsolable, he abdicated in 756 in favor of his son Suzong who undertook the reconquest of the capacity.

The Japanese scenario writer Kenji Mizoguchi realized in 1955 a film centered on the destiny of the empress, by taking some freedoms with the history: the Empress Yang Kwei-Fei .

The history of Yang Guifei does not have a relationship with the traditional play Adieu my concubine who inspired homonymous film of Chen Kaige. The subject of this one proceeds some 960 years earlier, during the fight for the capacity which follows the end of the Dynastie Qin.

The prince Xiang Yu will be put at dead by his rival Liu Bang, the future emperor Gaozu who created in -202 the Dynastie Han. His/her concubine Yu Ji asks him to die with him and joint it epic with the word while stabbing herself.
