Yéhezkel Henkin
Yéhezkel Henkin ( יחזקאלחנקין ) is a scientist in Natural science. He is born in 1881 in Russia.
Yéhezkel Henkin is member of the organization Auto-défense, in its town of Homel. For its activities, it must flee the Russian services of police force, and leaves, in 1903, settle with his Haya-Sara wife in Palestine, with the emigrants of the second Aliyah. Henkin passes from establishment in establishment before being fixed at Kala, which well later will become the Moshav Almagor. It is there that in collaboration with the zoologist Israel Aharoni, it specializes in the knowledge of the nature of Palestine, thanks to its many tours in the country. Aharoni remembers of Henkin in these terms: " I had then never seen of so sensitive man. By its personality, it could tame nature, and make friendly any hostile thing. On its lips a constant smile interfered with affection and heat was stuck; element which saved us more once vie."
Yéhezkel Henkin is one of the founders of the organizations Bar-Guiora, and Hashomer, of which he is member. It is the first to have adopted the system of assembled guard.
With each one of its exits, Haya-Sara and its children remain in the family home, open to all the members of Hashomer who are of passage.
Yéhezkel Henkin dies in 1916 of the malaria with Yavnéel. His wife then raises only their children, and at the conclusion of the First World War, it settles with the Kibboutz Kfar-Guiladi.
