Xianyang

Xianyang (咸阳; Pinyin: Xiányáng) is a city-prefecture of the province of the Shaanxi in China. It is on Northern bank of the Chang Jiang, and with 25 km in the North-West of Xi' year, the provincial capital. The urban population was of: 465800 inhabitants in 2001, and that of the prefecture exceeds them: 1000000.

Xianyang was the capital of the Dynastie Qin, and celebrates it Mausolée of the emperor Qin is in the vicinity.

The city-prefecture of Xianyang exerts its jurisdiction on fourteen subdivisions - three districts, a city-county and ten counties  :

  • the town of Xingping - 兴平市 Xīngpíng Shì   ;

  • the county of Jingyang - 泾阳县 Jīngyáng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Qian - 乾县 Qián Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Liquan - 礼泉县 Lǐquán Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Yongshou - 永寿县 Yǒngshòu Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Bin - 彬县 Bīn Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Changwu - 长武县 Chángwǔ Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Xunyi - 旬邑县 Xúnyì Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Chunhua - 淳化县 Chúnhuà Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Wugong - 武功县 Wǔgōng Xiàn .
