Wurfrahmen 40

The Wurfrahmen 40 (“support of launching 40”) was a Véhicule multiple Lance-roquettes German during the Second world war.

It combined the half-track vehicle SdKfz 251 with tubes Lance-roquette to form a more mobile vehicle of Artillerie and more armoured than the Nebelwerfer. Called “ Stuka zu Fuss ” ( Stuka on foot ground or Stuka which goes ), it was famous for the strong sound emitted during the shootings.

After the Battle of France, the German staff decided to create a launcher of rockets Wurfgerät 40.

The weapon was made up of six reinforcements, laid out equitably on each sides of the vehicle, which launched rocket S explosives ( Sprengranate ) of 30 centimetres. The reinforcements were directional and thus made it possible to adjust the firing angle of +5° with +40°
