World champion

A world champion is a Sportif or a sporting team which gained the Championnats of the world of its category. It preserves its title to the next edition of or the championship of the world.

The team of France of Football was world champion of football in 1998, Laurent Brochard was world champion of Cyclisme on road in 1997.
