Wolfgang Hildesheimer

Wolfgang Hildesheimer (December 9th 1916 - August 21st 1991) was a German author, mainly of plays, often created for the radio.

Biography

Wolfgang Hildesheimer was born with Hamburg parents Juifs. After having begun studies of Menuiserie in Palestine, where his/her parents had emigrated, it left to London to study the Peinture and the creation of Décor S for the theater.

In 1946, it worked like transcriber and Traducteur with the Procès of Nuremberg. It became then writer and belonged to the Groupe 47. In 1980, it made the inaugural speech of the Festival of Salzburg, “Was sagt Musik aus? ” (“That the music says? ”).

In parallel of its literary creations, Hildesheimer did work of Collages, which it joined together in 1984 in the collection Einlich Allein , which was followed other volumes.
