Sage is a character of comics belonging to Marvel Comics. It was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne.

She has telepathic capacities: she can read the thoughts and control the spirits, project illusions, close her spirit with the telepathic intrusions and mental detections, to return the mental attacks, to project her astral form. She can also locate the other mutants, analyze the human genome and start the latent mutant capacities (it is her which caused the change of the Fauve and of Slipstream)

History

Wise, alias Tessa, would have been born in a country from the Balkans.

It meets the professor Xavier and Sebastian Shaw in Afghanistan and followed the professor in his institute in Westchester. It helped the young girl to control her incipient capacities, and involved it with becoming spy in order to send it at Shaw to supervise its intrigues within the Club of Damnés. Thus, during many years, Tessa will pass for the assistant of King Noir and consequently for enemy of the X-Men.

Years later, whereas an old enemy named Elias Bogan tried to fold it with his will, it was helped by X-Man Tornade, which brought back it to the Xavier institute. Tessa revealed its true identity thus and the mission which Charles Xavier had entrusted to him by sending it to the Club of Damnés.

Few times afterwards, Tornade founded X-Treme X-Men the purpose of which were to find the Notebooks of Destinée, and Tessa was enlisted in the team. She took the name of Wise then. After a certain number of adventures, the team X-Treme X-Men became X.S.E (Xavier Sanction Executive) and turned over to settle at the Xavier institute, in Westchester. Wise followed them.

Recently, Sage took again its uniform of the Club of Damnés, recalled by Shaw in order to belong to its new interior circle. It also looked after Gambit of its blindness. It recently integrated the news Excalibur of Wisdom following the Mr. day.
