the Wind of the plain ( The Unforgiven ) is an American film carried out by John Huston, left in 1960.
Synopsis
Ben Zachary returns from Wichita with men engaged to deal with the herd of which he is owner with Zeb Rawlins, a nearby farmer. He finds his Rachel sister, who lives with her mother and her brothers. Rachel was collected baby, by Zachary father, kill then by the Indians Kiowas by defending its house. In the surroundings grinds an old solitary and ghostly rider, which speaks about revenge and makes run the noise that Rachel would be an Indian. A little later three Indians present themselves peacefully in front of the house and propose in Ben to buy Rachel. Some Cow-boy S are persuaded more and more that Rachel is an Indian and speak about it in Zeb. This one gets rid of them. Charlie, the son of Zeb, in love with Rachel, the proposal. On the road of the return it is killed by Indians. The Rawlins mother returns Rachel violently, come to present her condolences to him, and pokes ambient racism. To know the origin of Rachel it is decided to go to capture the solitary rider to make it speak. The cord around the neck, this one tells that Rachel was brought back of an Indian camp by Zachary father after a massacre of reprisals made by these two last, that later the Indians removed his son, but that Zachary father refused to return Rachel in exchange of its release. Since the rider seeks to appease its thirst for revenge against Rachel and those which adopted it. The Rawlins clan asks Zachary to return the Indian; those refuse, and are found put at the round of applause of the community. Cash Zachary disunites its family and joined Rawlins. Whereas Zachary are in their house, the three Indians return peacefully. Ben makes some kill one by his brother to prevent Rachel from going to join them. The Indians return of number and launch an attack. The Zachary mother is touched mortally, but the clan leaves victorious, helped by Cash returned to help his family, and by Rachel which kills the last Indian.

- Audrey Hepburn, then pregnant several months, was seriously wounded following a fall of horse. After having spent six weeks at the hospital, it took again its role with a minerve and new dresses to hide it. Unfortunately, a few months later, it undergoes a miscarriage, that some charged to its accident to the turning of this film. Audrey forever marked Hepburn it, but the scenario writer personally wanted to be some and acknowledged to hate this film. The remainder of the scenes of Audrey were turned with a lining.
