Wiltz (river)

The Wiltz is a Belgo-Luxembourg Rivière.

It has its source on the plate of Ardenne, not far from Bastogne it is formed by the meeting of two brooks in the south of Bastogne, the brook of Bovire and the brook of Oster downstream from the locality Wachenoule .

After a course of approximately 8 km in Belgium it joined the Luxembourg border at the level of the frontier terminal number 231. Having had a course towards the east it is at the level of the village of Niederwampach that it changes direction towards the south to pass by Schleif and Winseler and to arrive at Niederwiltz. It continues its course towards Kautenbach or it receives in its left bank its most important tributary, the Clerve. Six km lower it are thrown in the Sûre upstream of Goebelsmühle. Here it is descended at an altitude from 240 Mr. His overall length is of 42 km.
