William Johnson

Sir William Johnson, 1st Baronet (towards 1715 - July 11th 1774 with Johnson Hall (Johnstown, New York) is the son of an Irish pioneer, officer in the colony of New York and superintendent of the department of the Businesses of the Indians of North on behalf of the Great Britain, of 1755 to its death. It is also useful in the colonial army at the moment of the Seven Year old Guerre. He is the owner of an immense field in the valley of Mowawk.

Biography

William Johnson is the son of Christopher Johnson and grandson of William MacShane.

It establishes a station of draft out of Mowawk ground and wife an Amerindian , Molly Brandt, which gives him eight children. Integrated well at this community, it receives the title of brother of blood and got dressed like an Indian.

In 1755, it takes again Lake George with the French; then it takes part in the seat of Fort the Niagara
