William Boog Leishman

The lieutenant-general and Sir William Boog Leishman are a Médecin - British Militaire , born the November 6th 1865 with Glasgow and dead the June 2nd 1926.

It makes its studies with the Westminster School and the Université of Glasgow before entering the medical community of the British army (Royal Army Medical Body). It is useful in India where it studies the Typhoid fever and the kala azar. It returns in Great Britain and is stationed at the Victoria hospital of Netley in 1897. In 1900, he becomes professor attending of Pathologie the military medical school.

It gave its name to the Leishmaniose.
