Western Star
Western Star was creates by White Motor in 1968, with Kelowna, in Colombia-British. When the firm decided to launch a new model intended for the market of the West coast and quickly acquires a reputation of robustness and solidity in North America.
When White Motor was taken again by Volvo Trucks in 1981, the repurchase did not include/understand Western Star, these are thus two companies based with Calgary which take possession of it: (Nova and Bow Valley).

The agreement makes it possible Terry Peabody to keep the factory located at Queensland to provide its interior market: Australia and the New Zealand, under the name of Western Star, it had to only make of North America.
In 2002, Freightliner LLC moves the Canadian production with Portland, Oregon.
