Wall of Basle
The Muraille of Basle was a complex of the old Muraille S in the Cité of Basle (Suisse). The first wall had been built towards 1080 under L `bishop Burkhard de Fenis. In 1362 one had begun the construction of an external wall because of the urban expansion; construction was accomplished towards 1398. In 1859 the council of the city decided to dismember its walls and its doors. Today only three old doors are left.
