Volsques
The Volsques are Italian ancient people, known by the accounts of the Roman République written in Ier front century J.C. They lived a zone of hills and marshes in the south of the Latium, and were close to the people Aurunces and Samnites in the south, of the Herniques in the East and surrounded by a line on the basis of Norba and Cora in north until Antium in the south.
The volsque language is a Indo-European language not attached to the Sabellien group, connected with the Osque and the Ombrien, and also in a more distant way to the Latin .
Volsques were the most dangerous enemies of the ancient Rome generally combined with the Èques, and sometimes with the Herniques until in 486 av. J.C when they returned in the alliance of Rome.
Tite-Live describes them like ferocior AD rebellandum quam bellandum people (7, 27,7). Virgile in its Énéide figure a warlike virgin Camille as being Volsque.
