Volcano of Santa Margarida
The Volcan of Santa Margarida is an old volcano located in the volcanic area of Olot, in the commune of Santa Pau (Garrotxa), with the pla of Cot , the west of the city.
It is one of most important sector, 682 m height and whose perimeter of the crater measures approximately 2.000 m. In the middle of this crater the church of Santa Margarida is, of Romance origin.
Here approximately 11.000 years that the volcano entered in eruption.
It belongs to the Natural park of the volcanic Zone of Garrotxa.
