Vixta
Vixta is a Distribution Linux based on Fedora which offers the esthetism of Windows Vista.
The goal of the project is to facilitate the migration of the users Windows (Windowsiens) towards a Linux environment.
Characteristics
The project is of Brazilian origin. It is actively supported by 3 principal developers.
General
Vixta is available to November 16th, 2007 only in English, in Spanish and portuguais some. It will be soon available in French.
Vixta uses by defect the graphic environment KDE. In addition, it includes by defect a whole of software for all the family uses of a PC:
-
OpenOffice, office automation continuation equivalent to Microsoft Office
- navigator Internet Firefox, an instant message software Pidgin as well as a courriellor Thunderbird
- of the multimedia players, and in particular Amarok
The last version, 0.98, include by defect an antivirus, ClamAV.
