Vishniac novel
Romance Vishniac (Russian: РоманВишняк; August 19th 1897 - January 22nd 1990) is a American Photographe of Russian origin , particularly known for its photographic work on the culture of the Juif S of Europe of the East before the holocaust.
Eminent Biologist and teacher-researcher scholar in History of art, its photographs approach however other very diverse topics. During all its life, it contributes significantly to the fields of the Photomicroscopie and the photography in accelerated. He becomes later professor and collector of historical objets d'art. Roman Vishniac was very interested by the history and particularly that of its ancestors. Strongly attached to its Jewish roots, it was in addition a convinced Zionist.
Roman Vishniac forged a world famous, particularly for its photographs of Shtetlach and Jewish ghettos, its portraits of celebrities and its photographs of biological microscopy. It is in addition famous for its work has Vanished World published in 1947, one of the first books coloured on the Jewish culture of Eastern Europe of this time.
