Biography
Although short, its life is placed under the sign of the chance. It had many successes near the women, and its artistic career is the fruit of fortunate coincidences and success.Raised with Naples, with the academy of San-Sebastiano, it had as Masters of composition Furno, Tritto and Zingarelli. It had not finished yet its studies which it made represent, on the small scene of the academy, a small opera entitled Adelson E Salvini , which was played by three of its school-fellows. Fortune seemed, as of its beginnings, to take it in hand, because he saw himself almost at once charged to write, for the Théâtre San Carlo, the first of Naples, Bianca E Gernando , played in 1826, by Rubini, Lablache and Mrs. Tosi, who was so accepted that Bellini was immediately invited to compose, for the theater of La Scala of Milan, I pirati (1827), which obtains a brilliant success and which showed with the Italy that a large type-setter had been born to him.
Then, Bellini gave, Straniera , Zaira and I Capuleti E I Montecchi . Its fame extended each day when it returns to Milan to give its masterpiece, this tender, impassioned and delicious Somnambula , which made resound its name with the four corners of the Europe. At the end of this same year 1831, and again in Milan, it made represent Norma , which was to be, with the sonnanbula , its masterpiece. In 1833, Bellini gave to Venice its Beatrice di Trenta , and at this point in time on the initiative of Rossini, it was charged to compose a new opera for the Theater-Italian of Paris. It thus came in France, settled with Puteaux, where it wrote I puritani , which was represented in 1835 and which obtained a brilliant success.
The type-setter died a few days afterwards. Bellini was musician charming, which repurchased what it missed, under the report/ratio of the musical instruction, by an inspiration of a freshness and an exquisite grace and by a tender and impassioned feeling.
Analyzes
Bellini was a fantastic author of melody S, which influenced on this level Frederic Chopin. One can reproach him a “lightness” in the accompaniment of the melody, however this way of composing is justified and brings to the work of Bellini a homogeneity safe from almost all criticisms. Its harmonies and Orchestration S are very simple, but he excels in the expression of the tender feelings and melancholic persons. Norma is looked like its triumph. It also inspired Wong Kar-Wai for the music of its film 2046 .
