Vinéa is a fictitious Planet in the universe of the Cartoon Yoko Tsuno. She is located at two million light-years of the Ground, in the galaxy M33.
History

Vinéa failed to be destroyed by a space cataclysm: its two Sun S attracting itself little by little, Vinéens were condemned to live under the ground then had to evacuate planet on hundred vessels of which only eleven were built and left to the conquest the universe. One of them arrived on Ground there is 400 000 years. Since, Vinéens live there, under the ground where Yoko discovered them in volume 1 of the series ( the Trio of strange the ).

War of the cities : Various cities are made the war. One of them, about to lose, creates an underwater arsenal, in the Cité of the abyss . This one very contains rockets of high technology and a half-million children, intended to use them, high by 20 Archange S, Androïde S placed under the control of the queen Hégora, other Androïde which can ressusciter thanks to copies of itself, process orchestrated by the robot Tryak.This queen will become a dictator for the city, projecting to conquer Vinéa , goal refused by the Archange S which did not raise the children beyond adolescence. These children were then captured by Hégora to train its people.
Yoko will stop this cycle with the assistance of the one of the Archange S by destroying two copies of the queen and Tryak the three remaining ones. Yoko will then become the new queen of the city while waiting for that Vinéens find a solution concerning its inhabitants. (volume 13: Archangels of Vinéa )
Towards 0 (current time)
Vinéens expatriates on Ground then undertake to turn over on Vinéa, in volume 6 ( 3 suns of Vinéa ). They discover their quasi-intact planet, 400.000 years after cataclysm and now equipped with an artificial climatic barrier which east creates by a belt powerful Magnétique, protecting the enlightened zone close to the terminating one. Indeed, one of the consequences of cataclysm was to give to planet a synchronous Rotation, i.e. always exposing the same extreme face towards its two natural suns, leaving the other hemisphere in one night perpetual and frozen.A station in orbit can clarify a zone of the night hemisphere, thus being able to actuate mechanisms on the ground. It thus forms the 3rd sun of Vinéa .

On his surface, one finds many mountains, rivers, an ocean…The remarkable sites are:

- the City of the abyss
- the memorial of Xunk

Technology
Vinéens have a very advanced technology. One can quote:- the various shuttles from moving as well in the atmosphere as in space
- the intergalactic shuttle which moves more quickly than the light (it spends 6 months to traverse 2 million light-years in the 3 suns of Vinéa )
- a radioactive material, the vinéadium, prolongs the existence as long as one is subjected to his radiation (see: Exiled of Kifa )

Anecdote
The origins of the planet Vinéa (Anagram of the mark of hydrating cream Nivea) are explained by Roger Leloup in the supplement of volume 20 ( the Astrologer of Bruges ):
“ Vinéa is a universe which can exist, but that I created of all parts. Its origin goes back to my childhood. In the hairdressing salon of my father, a publicity praising the Nivea cream - that, dyslexic, I had transformed into Vinéa - had drawn my attention. With time, the image had been faded and only blue had remained. A girl, on the poster, thus had the skin of this color. I was convinced that this cream made the skin blue. And when I imagined these people come from space, I remembered all that. It is necessary - alas! - sometimes to wait to be adult to be able to tell its dreams of childhood. ”
