Villa Bouchina
The Villa Bouchina is a building which is with Doetinchem (Netherlands) and which, during the Second world war was used as camp for Jews which enjoyed a special protection of the occupant because of their role before the war. The subjacent idea was that people who posted their claim with being particular cases, would fight for their rights and would accept the rules.
Remained, inter alia, in this camp a draftsman (OJ Spier) and his family, a woman whose husband fought for Germany on the face and some old NSB (Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging, or Movement national-Socialist). In all the building was inhabited by nine Jews. In February 1943, the “Jews of Mussert” moved into the building and remained until the April 21st same year. Then they were off-set towards the Concentration camp of Theresienstadt, where four of them died.
There existed two camps similar to Barneveld, in which surroundings 700 Jews were protected: De Schaffelaar and Huize de Biezen .
