Viacheslav Fetisov

Viacheslav (Slava) Alexandrovich Fetisov (Russian: Вячеслав (Слава) АлександровичФетисов, Vjačeslav (Slava) Aleksandrovič Fetisov ; born the April 20th 1958 with Moscow, the USSR today in Russia) is the Ministre Sports current in Russia. It is also a former professional player of Hockey which evolved/moved as a defender.

With Igor Larionov, it contributed to break the barrier preventing Soviet from joining the National league of hockey in North America.

International career

Fetisov one of the players the most is rewarded with two gold medals with the Olympic Games of 1984 with Sarajevo in and 1988 with Calgary in Canada. In 1980, it gains the money medal to the Plays of Lake Placid with. It also gained many medals at the time of the Championnat of the world of hockey:
  • Gold medals : 1978,1981,1982,1983,1986,1989 and 1990 (7).
  • Medals of money : 1987.
  • Bronze medals : 1985 and 1991.
In the majority of the matches, he was the captain of the équipe.
He also gains the Crosse of gold of hockey as a better international European player into 1984,1986 and 1990.

With the Olympic Games of 2002, he is the trainer of the team of Russia which gains the bronze medal.

Career in club

He played for the club of the CSKA Moscow of 1977-78 to 1988-89 with which he gains the championship each year as well as the Coupe of Europe of the clubs champions. The CSKA also gains during this time the Coupe of the USSR in 1979 and 1988. It is approximate to play in the National league of hockey twice: during the Fishing out amateur of the LNH 1978, the Canadian of Montreal choose it in round twelfth (201e choice) and during the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1983, the Devils of the New Jersey make in the same way but in 8th (145e choice).

Fetisov allowed with the Temple of is re-elected hockey in 2001.
