Verneuil-sur-Avre is a common French, located in the department of the the Eure and the area High-Normandy. Its inhabitants is called Vernoliens.

Denomination

The current denomination was officialized on a nonknown date, supposed between 1882 and 1943. Previously, the commune was called Verneuil , name still frequently employed in the current language.
