Vendean plain
The Vendean Plaine extends to the south from the department French from the the Vendée, it is old a sedimentary Plaine Calcaire under navy. It is framed
- in North by the Vendean Bocage,
- in the East by the hills of Gâtine,
- in the West by the Atlantic Ocean,
- in the South by the Marais Poitevin.
Crossed by the valley of the lay, its dimensions are reduced: 20 km of North in the South on approximately 70 km of Are in West. The Vendean Plain is today an area of cereal field crop with large farms and a landscape of Openfield.
The two main cities of the Plain are Fontenay-the-Count and Luçon. The inhabitants of the Plain are traditionally called Plainauds .
