Velvet Goldmine
Velvet Goldmine is a British film carried out by Todd Haynes, left in France the December 9th 1998. The action proceeds in Great Britain, at the great time of the Glam rock'n'roll, at the beginning of the Années 1970, and the main character is a pop-star largely inspired by David Bowie and his character of Ziggy Stardust. The title of film is besides drawn from a homonymous song of Bowie. The film recalls the course of a star of the glam-rock'n'roll, incarnated by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, and of the revolution as well musical as sexual as he wanted to start in the musical universe of the years 1970. 10 years after the disappearance of Brian Slade following an attack, a journalist former fan of the singer (Christian Bale) is charged to discover what it remains about it. Its investigation is pretext with many flash-backs, populated of figure real or fiction (Brian Molko, Brian Ferry, Kurt Wilde).
