Vannino Chiti
Vannino Chiti (born the December 26th 1947 with Pistoia, in Tuscan -) is an Italian politician, also writer on the occasion.
Biography
Graduate in Philosophy, studying the history of the Catholicism, in 1970 he becomes assessor and City council man with Pistoia, of which he was also mayor of 1982 with 1985. In 1985 it is elected city council man on the list of the Italian Communist party, of which he was team leader in Toscane, area of which he will be president of 1992 with 2000 with the head of an executive of center-left.
Consecutively it adheres to the Democratic party left and with the Left Democrats (it belongs to its national secretariat) and in 2000 becomes under-secretary of State to the presidency of the Council of Ministers. In 2001 it is elected appointed and in 2005 he was coordinator of primary elections which designated the candidate of the Union for the legislative elections of 2006.
Chiti published four books: Intervista sul federalismo (1995); Mediterraneo. Europa went southernmost riscoperta LED suo cuore (1996); Laici & Cattolici (1999); will sinistra It che vorrei (2000).
The May 17th 2006, Vannino Chiti is named Minister (attached to the presidency of the Council) for the Relations with the Parliament and the Institutional reforms in the Gouvernement Romano Prodi II.
