Valley of Aoste Pinot Black

The Vallée of Aoste Pinot Noir is a red Wine Italian of the autonomous region Vallée of Aoste equipped with a name DOC. since July 30th, 1985. Only to DOC. the wines collected inside the surface of production defined by the decree are entitled. The authorized vineyards are located in province of Aoste in the communes of Aoste, Arnad, Arvier, Avise, Aymavilles, Bard, Brissogne, Barge-Saint-Victor, Chambave, Champdepraz, Charvensod, Châtillon, Donnas, Fénis, Gressan, Hône, Introd, Issogne, Jovençan, the Room, Montjovet, Morgex, Nus, Perloz, Pollein, Pontey, Bridge-Saint-Martin, Quarter, Saint-Christophe, Saint-Denis, Saint Nicolas's Day, Saint-Vincent, the Saar, Verrayes, Glasses, Villeneuve.

Organoleptic characteristics

  • color : more or less intense red ruby tending towards a garnet-red red after ageing.

  • odor : vinous, intense, fruity.
  • savor : dryness, velvety, slightly tannic.

The Vallée of Aoste Pinot Noir is tasted at a temperature from 15 to 17 °C and it will keep 2 - 4 years.
