VRAK.TV

VRAK.TV is a chain of Télévision Québécois E Francophone conceived mainly for the young people and the teenagers. It is the property of the group Astral Media.

History

Since January 2nd, 2001, VRAK.TV succeeded the old chain hitherto named Canal Family. On this occasion, the network Astral Media replaced nearly 70% of the emissions which were there. VRAK gives a great place to the emissions of Quebec. During its creation, it kept the Québécois emissions most popular such as In a galaxy close to on your premise and Radio-Hell . As of the beginning, the interlude Réal-it allowed a bringing together with the public which was worth with its organizers the emission Réal-TV . To did the wire of time, other Québécois emissions come to be added, such as a grenade with that? or It was once in the disorder . Since the end of January 2005, Réal-It does not exist any more. One replaced it by R-Force , a 5 minutes emission in complement between certain emissions. R-force answers eccentric questions, helps the young people to regulate their minor problems and makes it possible to the young people to carry out their dreams. With the autumn 2006, the emission R-Force accepted a promotion which makes that it lasts 30 minutes now.

VRAK.TV frequently organizes contests and has its clean “Anti-Official reception” which bears the name of KARV (VRAK with back). Moreover, the chain particularly implies its actors in the various activities which it organizes such as the ST-VRAK. At the time of the activities, several actors of VRAK.TV sign autographs or take part in the activities for the young people. At the beginning, during the pauses, there was no Publicité conceived to sell products (food or different); only advertizing opinions to announce the emissions and their schedules. But later, with the autumn 2006, commercial publicities were authorized by Astral Media.

December 5th, 2006, Internet site changes and becomes much more interactive, with now distinct sections for various groups of age.

Availability

VRAK.TV, the malicious channel, are generally diffused with channel 16 on the analogical cable Vidéotron, 25 for the subscribers of Vidéotron - Laurentien (Outaouais), 38 for the subscribers of numerical Illico cable, 29 for the subscribers of Cogeco cables 770 for StarChoice, 140 and 855 (HD) for the subscribers of the range of satellite channels Bell ExpressVu and with the 677 for the subscribers Rogers (Moncton), With the 30 on the cable of the Persona company and with the 12 for the subscribers of Cablevision.

Not being diffused 24 hours a day, the emissions begin every morning at 6 a.m. and finish at midnight. With the whole beginning of Vrak.TV, they finished however at 10 p.m. In general, the frequency of the emissions is the same one. Those are same the 7 days per week, although a small portion leaves room to another thing the end of the week.
