University of the foreign trade

The University of the Foreign trade - Group ESCE -, is a business school international. It was created there are 40 years on the initiative of Ubifrance, in the past CFCE, (French Center of the Foreign trade). Present on four international sites: Paris/Lyon/Beijing/Mexico City, the ESCE is International member of Laureate Universities . The ESCE is, since 2005, candidate with the accreditation AACSB.

The objective of the ESCE

The objective of the ESCE is to train people who will be able to satisfy the needs for companies implied in the international business.

University of international business “post-baccalaureat”, the ESCE is an establishment recognized by the State. It delivers a diploma of person in charge in foreign trade, aimed by the State (stopped of August 22nd, 2003), registered with the National directory of professional certifications on level II of the nomenclature of the education levels of 1969 (“Personal occupying of employment normally requiring a formation of a level comparable with that of the license or control. ”)

To integrate the ESCE

One integrates the ESCE via two contests:
  • in 1st year, for the graduates and the “Bac+1”, after having made a success of successfully the Contest SESAME
  • in 3rd year, for the parallel admissions “post Bac+2”, after being received with the Contest SUCCESS.

Formation ESCE

The first cycle: 3 years general practitioners

They are 3 years general practitioners, where the student discovers the trades of the company: right and economy, social sciences, management, international business and marketing, quantitative technology of management, languages applied to the businesses, studies and research, community project, etc

The second cycle: 2 years of specialization with the acquisition of a double competence

  • a competence common to all: the international business
  • a die with the choice among 6 specializations:
To that and controls management
  • Entreprenariat
  • international Finances
  • international Logistique
  • international Management
  • international Marketing

    The internationalization of the studies

    A priority: the training of 2 current foreign languages related to the management of the international businesses

    • 9 studied different languages: English/Spanish/German/Italian/Russian/portuguais/Arab/Chinese/French (for the foreigners)
    • 6 hours Plus of course of each language per week
    • Possibilité of beginning Chinese
    • Cours from the second cycles indifferently exempted in French or in English
    • Préparation with the examinations of the free-foreign Chambers of commerce for all the students of the ESCE
    • All the professors of languages are originating in the country of the studied language
    • 300 foreign students in progress each year

    Starting possibilities abroad

    • At the time of:
    - in-company trainings in: 1st year (2 months)/3rd year (6 months)/5th year (6 months),
    - six-month period of exchange Erasmus in university partner in: 2nd year/4th year,
    - double diploma in: 5th year.

    Thus, all the students can leave and they are sent by reduced group of 2 or 3 students maximum, in order to adapt to the environment of the country and to practice the language.

    • 17 agreements of double diplomas:

    In 5th year, the student can carry out one year complete in university partner in order to obtain the diploma of the ESCE and the diploma of State of the university of reception in which he will have studied during the latter année.
    In 8 countries: Germany/China/Spain/Estonia/the United States/Great Britain/Netherlands/Sweden.

    The Franco-German program

    It makes it possible to alternate studies with the ESCE Paris and the FHW Berlin of 2nd at the 5th year, in order to obtain the diploma of State of each of the 2 establishments.

    Training courses

    The ESCE arrived 2nd equal in the classification of the business schools after-vat of the newspaper Le Figaro (classification of November 27th, 2007) and 3rd in the classification of the schools more professionnalisantes of the newspaper the Point (classification of February 15th, 2007).
    • To acquire experiment with the ESCE:
    - from 9 to 21 month of obligatory training courses in France or abroad,
    -: 3000 offers of training course throughout the world, in line and with provision of the students,
    -: 5000 companies in wallet,
    - an individualized course (not of function neither of sector obligatory to choose at the beginning of course nor during the training courses),
    - work and research: mission export/report/ratio of professional training course/memory.
    • Department of the Relations undertaken:
    interface between the students and the companies, the Relations department undertaken fulfills a double function:
    - a function of accompaniment of the students in their search for training course and their choices professional,
    - a function of development and communication near the companies as well as day before on the evolution of the trades and competences.

    The follow-up of the community project

    • Definition of the “passport competences”
    The passport competences is the collection and the inventory of the assets of the student within the framework of the community project. It counts according to the track records and personal: knowledge, know-how or competences, wishes out of professional matter. The student will thus discover the trade and the branch of industry towards which it wishes to move.
    • the Forum undertaken
    Each year, the Relations department undertaken organizes a forum which joins together more than one about fifty companies.
    • the ESCE and KPMG: a teaching partnership
    The ESCE and KPMG concluded a partnership allowing about fifteen students of 4th year, after selection, to integrate the option “to that the council”, and to be thus formed during one year by teams of professionals of KPMG within its French units or its subsidiary companies established abroad. The students of the ESCE will see themselves proposing, for the best of them, at the conclusion of their studies a station in the company.

    The training

    The ESCE is a section out the walls of SME Training (CFA of the CGPME). This section makes it possible to 40 students to carry out their 4th and 5th years in apprenticeship contract within a company having an activity directed towards the international one.

    Principle of the training

    • Selection in 3rd year on file (criteria of motivation, academic, social)
    • Alternation over 24 months:
    - 1st year of alternation: 700 hours with the ESCE/900 hours in company
    - 2nd year of alternation: 650 hours with the ESCE/950 hours in company
    • 2 periods in alternation: 3 days in progress, 2 days in entreprise
    • 2 6 months periods in company

    • Remuneration included/understood near to the SMIC (between 50 and 80%)
    • Complete exoneration of the school fees
    • Guaranteed of a follow-up personalized as well on the level of the company as on the level of the ESCE

    Campuses: ESCE Paris/Lyon/Beijing/Mexico City

    the ESCE Paris is located in the buildings of the university pole Léonard de Vinci, in the middle of the district of Paris it Défense, which accommodates the seats of French and international large companies. The department of the Hauts-de-Seine account more: 27000 PME/PMI and gather the greatest number of export businesses of France.

    the ESCE Lyon is located since 1999 in the buildings of the Université Jean-Mill - Lyon III, in the center of Lyon. It is about a teaching partnership between a business school and a university. Second economic area of France and crossroads of Europe, the Rhone-Alps area represents an important basin of employment and possibilities of training courses for students specialized in international business. The University Jean Moulin Lyon 3 is in permanent relation with the world of the companies by the means of its Administration of companies (IAE).

    the ESCE Beijing is established within the UIBE ( University off International Business and Economics ), an important university of China, is specialized in the studies of international management. It is also one of the first Chinese universities to have concluded from the international partnerships with more 100 universities and schools in 30 different countries through the monde.
    The campus of Beijing is strictly reserved in 1st and 2nd year with the Chinese students. To postulate, those must have obtained a note higher than 500 with the examination of entry in university in China. They lodge complete records with the secretariat of the UIBE/ESCE Beijing and are then convened in front of a Franco-Chinese equal jury which selects the candidates admis.
    The students of 2nd cycle of the ESCE can follow one six-month period of studies to the UIBE or the Double Franco-Chinese diploma insofar as they satisfy the examinations of knowledge of the Chinese language (oral examination and writing) organized each year by the culture section of the Embassy of China.

    the ESCE Mexico City is established within the UVM ( Universidad del Valle of Mexico City ), on the campus of Lomas Verdes. The UVM one of the large universities of the Mexico, created in 1960, is distributed out of 19 campus. It accommodates {{formatnum: 54000}} student of all nationalities. The university is accredited by the “'' Federacion de Instituciones Mexicanas Particulares de Educacion Superior ''”.
    The 1 {{er}} and 2 {{E}} years of the ESCE Mexico City is reserved to the students recruited in Mexico. The best of them will continue their course with the ESCE Paris. The students of 2 {{E}} cycle of the ESCE can follow one six-month period of studies in UVM.
    The ambassador of France in Mexico, as well as the Economic mission and the section of the Advisers of the foreign trade of France in Mexico are the godfathers of future promotions. == Community life == Community life of a school contributes to the training of each student. To invest itself in community life makes it possible to live experiments between students, to develop a team spirit, to imply themselves in projects which are due to heart. As of the first year, the students commit themselves following one of the 35 associations framed by teachers and the office of the pupils. The office of the pupils is composed of a team of 15 people elected by the students. BDE ESCE is the interface between the students and the administration of the school. It coordinates the whole of the life coed: sports associations and cultural, international events, competitions, festive life, intégration.
