University of data processing of electronics and automatic

The University of data processing of electronics and automatic is a private school of engineers created in 1958 by Maurice Lafargue.

The school is entitled by the Commission of the Titles of Engineers since 1985 to deliver the Diplôme of Engineer esiea. In March 2006, the CTI renewed the enabling of diploma ESIEA for six years, maximum duration.

It counts, in 2006,1 500 students and more than 5.000 graduate former students.

History

In 1993, the ESIEA opens with Laval a new establishment: the Western thanks to the strong implication of local government agencies and regional esiea (District council of the Countries of the Loire, General advice, Chamber of commerce and of Industry, Laval Agglomeration). The esiea Western participle actively with the development of the park Laval-native technopolitain strong of its competences to the service of the companies and the technological resource centres. The Western esiea works in particular clearly on the Virtual reality whose Laval-native agglomeration made of it its pole of excellence and expertise.

In 2002, the ESIEA opens a third establishment with Casablanca (Morocco): the emiae (Moroccan School of Electronic Automatic Data processing), fruit of a joint-venture with the Moroccan group of education SEGEPEC.

Three establishments (ESIEA Paris, West and the EMIAE) deliver a single course which leads to the diploma for the occupation of Engineer ESIEA. The ESIEA is member of the Conférence of the universities and the Union of the independent universities.

The formation Data-processing general practitioner in , electronic, Automatique is supplemented by lesson of human and managerial formation. A partnership allows the pupils - engineers to follow in last year a formation within Grenoble Ecole of Management in fields complementary to their basic training. They obtain a double competence extremely required by the companies.

16 month of training course on the whole, of which an obligatory mission abroad eight weeks and a training course of end of 9 months studies. The occasion for more than 80% of the graduates signing their contract of recruiting before even obtaining the diploma.
