United Cookies ( UB ) is a British multinational of origin of agroalimentary, owner inter alia, of the marks BN, Delacre, Verkade or Mc Vitie' S.

History

United Cookies was founded in 1948 of the fusion of McVitie&Price and of McFarlane lang. In 1960, the company widens its wallet with the purchase of Crawford' S Cookies and McDonald's Cookies. In 1974, it buys the American manufacturer of cookies Keebler Company. In 1988, acquisition of a holding to a total value of 60% of United Cookies Clouded, followed from additional 30% in 1991. In 1990, repurchase of Verkade, leader of the Dutch market of cookie. In 1997 exchange with the group PepsiCo of the Nantes Cookie factory (BN) against Smiths Snackfood Company in Australia. In 1998, acquisition of Delacre to Campbell Soup Company. In 2000, Finalrealm acquires UB which leaves the Bourse of London. As of this acquisition starts a reduction of the wallet of mark and subsidiary companies with many transfers with Danone: UB Nordic, Denmark, Malaysia, Singapore, Hungary, sale of marks TUC, ENV. In 2004, the group repurchases Jacob' S Cookies with Danone. In 2006, new changes, branch UB Europe of the South is yielded to Kraft Foods and the consortium Blackstone Group and FEEDS partners repurchases the entirety of the group United Cookies.

United Cookies today

The group held by the consortium Blackstone Group and FEEDS is divided into two subsidiary companies: UB the U.K. and UB North Europe. The head office is located at Hayes in the Middlesex with the the United Kingdom. It has many sites with Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow but also in France, Belgium and with the Netherlands. United Cookies is N°1 on the markets of cookie to the the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, N°2 in Ireland, France and Belgium.
