Talk You Butt & Me , a new title (or B-Side ), which deserves to be listened to at bleep.com by the terrible atmosphere of the drum' low very energetic with its percussions very funky under a melody of low with the sound adulterated per moment which sounds funky-jazzy and which finishes very shifted musicalement and Ultravisitor in a version far from different with that from the album.

Public garden Window

Square Window exists only out of minis CD and was indicated for the promotion of the album Ultravisitor , offered to those which made the pre-order of this album on the Warp.com site. Squarepusher assembled 5 new pieces for this promotion. The famous Public garden Window , a piece of IDM at the rates/rhythms envoutants and Abacus 2 , a rich music of drum' low, enough funky, interfered melodies with environment IDM. Come N° 17 that it later will be re-examined a few months in a EP of the same name, is surprising with its multiple percussions on all sides, the melodies are only special “noises” and effects under a repetitive base line but which can make us move. Itti-Fack is sympathetic and distracting, in spite of the short duration, which begins jazzy-funky and which finishes trash in extreme cases of the noise . And Melt 14.6 is a very particular piece which makes think of the piece Last Ap Roach included Music Is Rotted One Note although sonorities and the rhythmic one are different.

Square Window is a jewel, it contains five good pieces b-sides of the album Ultravisitor which deserve to be listened by their originality, their richness and their innovation in the universe of the Electronic music. It is included besides in the cd2 of the Japanese importation of the album Ultravisitor .

Ultravisitor

Ultravisitor left the 8 March 2004 at Warp Records. It is the ninth album of Squarepusher.

Such Miles Davis in her time, Squarepusher pushes back the listener, turns to him the back, built a music egocentric person. Tom Jenkinson has worked out his compositions for almost ten years. With the wire of its career, he will have touched drum' low until the drill' low, of the jungle, the Funk, the Free jazz, the Ambient, the Hip-hop and the 2-step. Its clever amalgams will have done of him one of the dominant figures of the movement IDM. On Ultravisitor , it exhibe always its matters of predilection, by taking care to add new dimensions to it. Glaucous environments are involved between the incisive rates/rhythms of the drum' low or of the airs of Guitare glossy as an interlude or overlapping Jazz in the substance; on 50 Cycles , it conceives a hip-hop futuriste.
With Ultravisitor , it condenses all what it could assimilate of these various experiments in 80 ultimate minutes of what seems to be the final key of a long process of maturation. Squarepusher knew to impose in the bubbling medium of the Electronic music the art of the controversy and the surprise. Sometimes barred, sometimes jazzy and often directed in diversities of styles, its productions did not cease filling and dividing a heterogeneous TV rating, awaiting each new delivery of the Master with a dubitative feeling, sailing between fear and the impatience.
There is even noise on this album, of the noise all that there is moreover crade and unwise, which precisely point out the most extreme acts to which these guitarists free deliver themselves (Jazz, Rock, funk and all that one wants) towards which Squarepusher seems to have admiration. And it returns it to them bien.
The album, partly recorded in live , is rather unequal. Certain titles, mixing acoustic instrumentation and electronic experiments, raise more than one hermetic concrete music that of a true dash of creativity. By scrambling our reference marks, Squarepusher perhaps once again achieved the goal of its company of sound déconstruction.

In short, Thomas Jenkinson dares without claim and Ultravisitor testifies to its immense talent.

Come N° 17

Come N° 17 , left in 2004 at Warp Records, contains one of the pieces of mini CD Square Window : Come N° 17 , with its version remixé and a Tundra 4 (a re-examined version of Tundra included in Feed Me Weird Things ). The CD exists only in promotion. It is sold commercially only in Vinyle like in MP3 on the site of sale of online music of Warp (bleep.com), Tundra 4 is worth the turning…
Come N° 17 , a simple and destructuré piece, rather representative of its old work. On the other hand the remix Acid Mix of this last is already percussion, of the hardening of a Go Spastic . Strange detail: it is introduced by a voice. But until there, nothing exceptional. The last title is quite simply splendid, even brilliant! Tundra 4 was composed in three parts: first is vivifying, a kind of drum' low reverse; second is soft but distressing (with the image of Tundra ); finally the third interposes violently, in full electric shock , slipping by in all the directions… until the syncope.
