Ultimates

The Ultimates are a team of superman pertaining to the universe Ultimate Marvel. They appeared in March 2002 in the series of the same name created by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. As all the other series of this label it is about a modernized version of a series Marvel Comics, in fact, the Avengers

Synopsis

Following the importance taken by the problem transferring and the end of the program Weapon X, the US government invests enormous sums in the program of creation of super-soldiers. Nick Fury, become the chief of the SHIELD, with the assistance of Bruce Banner (Hulk) and Hank Pym (Giant-Man) sets up a team in whom it will integrate powerful characters such as Iron Man or Thor.

The series was the subject of two seasons of thirteen episodes each one per Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. They must be replaced for a third season by the scenario writer Jeph Loeb and the draftsman Joe Madureira.

The series was the subject of a crossover with the Ultimate X-Men in the mini-series Ultimate War , and of another with Ultimate Spider-Man in the mini-series Ultimate Six

There exists also a whole of three mini-series scenarized by Warren Ellis, Ultimate Nightmare , Ultimate Secret , and Ultimate Extinction , putting in scene Ultimates and other heroes vis-a-vis a cosmic threat.

They also regularly make appearances in the other regular series and mini-series of the universe Ultimate Marvel.

France

The series is translated into France in a review of the same name published by Panini.

Other media

A DVD Ultimate Avengers: The Movie inspired of this comic-book left in February 2006 to the the United States.
