US Curtiss (AV-4)
The US Curtiss (AV-4) was a supply craft of seaplanes of the American Marine, launched on April 20th, 1940 by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation with Camden. It was armed on November 15th, 1940 with on its board the commander S.P. Ginder. It operated initially in the the Caribbean before joining the base of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. There, it was used for surveillance missions; from October 15th to November 9th, it went to Wake to reinforce the garrison.
