USB One-Tea-Go
USB One-Tea-Go (abbreviation USB OTG ) is an extension of the standard USB 2.0 (or USB 1.0) which makes it possible peripherals USB to have of advantage of flexibility in management of connections USB.
Standard USB (USB 1.1/2.0) uses an architecture Maître/Esclave: a Concentrateur USB (in English host USB) acts like a Master USB and a peripheral USB acts like a Slave. Only concentrators USB can manage the configuration and the transfer of the data at the time of connection.
Standard USB-OTG changes this situation. The peripherals compatible with standard USB-OTG are able to initiate a session, to control connection and, to exchange the roles Maître/Périphérique.
With this intention, USB-OTG introduces two new protocols; SRP (Session Protocol Request) and HNP (Host Negotiation Protocol).
Peripherals USB One-Tea-Go are compatible with standards USB 1.1/2.0 and behave as a standard peripheral USB when they are connected with traditional peripherals USB (not OTG).
