Turbe , in Turkish, means the " tomb. " This term is employed in the vocabulary of the Moslem architecture.

Istanbul has many turbes pertaining to Sultan S of the Ottoman Empire, but also to other important characters of the Turkish history. Konya has the turbe Jalal Ud DIN Rumi, which is a Sanctuaire and a place of major Pèlerinage, just like the turbe of Gul Baba with Budapest. Bursa has the turbes many Othoman sultans, like those of Osman Ier and Mehmed Ier.
