Tswana
The tswana (the Setswana in language tswana), is the language bantoue of the ethnos group of the same name. The tswana is an official language of the South Africa and the national language and majority of the Botswana. Tswana (called in tswana “Motswana” and “of Batswana”) are majority in the province South-African of the North-western. A certain number of Tswana are also with the Zimbabwe and in Namibia.
Distribution
In total, there is a few 4 million tswanophones, whose majority are South-African. The language belongs to the sotho-tswana group, which includes/understands also the Sotho of the South ( sesotho ) and the Sotho of North ( sesotho its leboa or sepedi ).
History
The political cutting of Tswana date completion of the 19th century, when the British made current Botswana the Protectorat of Bechuanaland , and the current North-West the Province of Bechuanaland . Under the Apartheid, one had set up the Bantoustan Bophuthatswana for Tswana of South Africa.The dissolution of Bophuthatswana in 1994 involved violent one conflicts between the military forces of the Bantustan and the new mode post-apartheid.
