Triple Entente
A Triple Entente indicates an alliance linking three identities.
In the History
The military alliance of the France, the the United Kingdom and the Russia, indicated under the term of Triple Entente in opposition to the Triple Alliance, is in fact the combination of several agreements between the three countries.
There is first of all a military convention between the France and the Russia on August 17th 1892, then a Franco-Russian Alliance, on December 27th 1893. A few years later, on April 8th, 1904, France and the United Kingdom sign the Harmony, treated of range especially symbolic system (defines zones of influence concerning the colony S, in order to avoid the incidents of the type Fachoda) which marks a diplomatic bringing together between the two countries. Lastly, the the United Kingdom and the Russia also define zones of influence, in Afghanistan and Iran.
The various agreements between the three protagonists are joined together and signed on August 31st, 1907, thus giving rise to the Triple Entente. This alliance of the external edges of the Europe, which faces the Triple Alliance, is one of the elements which leads to the First World War.
