Tribe of Ruben
The tribe of Ruben (in Hebrew: שבטראובן ) is one of the Twelve tribes of Israel. Ruben is theborn one of Jacob and Lea, the sister of Rachel.
The tribe takes part in the conquest of the Pays of Canaan but is installed on the territories conquered of the time of Moïse on Eastern bank of the the Jordan. It is of this tribe that comes the Pierre apostle.
