Tribe of Benjamin

The tribe of Benjamin is one of the Twelve tribes of Israel. Its name comes from Benjamin. It is in particular of this tribe that Saül is resulting, first king d' Israël, which the King David will succeed.

The territory of this tribe is located between the Tribu of Éphraïm at North, the Tribu of Juda in the South, the Tribu of daN in the West, and the the Jordan in the East. Its principal cities were Jerusalem, Jericho, Béthel and Gabaon.

Also, the tribe of Benjamin belongs to the tribes which constitute the Royaume of Juda after the schism with the tribes of north.
