Tremblay-on-Mauldre is to It a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France, located at approximately 18 km to the north of Rambouillet.

Geography
The territory of the commune of Tremblay-on-Mauldre, inclined towards the North-East, extends on the western slope from the valley from the Mauldre in north from the main forest from Rambouillet, the river forming the limit is commune.This territory is mainly rural, to 80%, with wooded parts towards the south. It includes in its northern part part of the park of the castle of Pontchartrain. The habitat is grouped in the borough which is next to the castle of Tremblay. The communes bordering are Jouars-Pontchartrain in the east, Saint-Rémy-the Honore in the south, Bazoches-on-Guyonne in the west and Neauphle-the-Old man in the North-East.
The communications are ensured by the departmental roadway system, in particular the secondary road 34 of North-South orientation and the secondary road 13 of East-West orientation. The commune is crossed in its northern part by the Trunk road 12, expressway with 2x2 ways, without local exchanger as by the secondary road 23 known as road of Bazoches with Montfort.
In the railway plan, the commune is at equivalent distances from the stations the SNCF of Montfort-l' Amaury - Mother and Villiers - Neauphle - Pontchartrain where passes the line of the Transilien Paris-Montparnasse and of the Canopy on the line of the Transilien Paris Saint-Lazare.

Blaise Cendrars, Swiss writer, had a residence, its “small house of the fields”, in Tremblay as from 1918. The municipality made transfer its ashes to the cemetery from Tremblay on May 14th, 1994. It gave its name to a versatile room inaugurated in 2005, “space Blaise Cendrars”.
