Habitat

Touï be attends all the mediums timbered except for the dense forest. It meets in particular in the edges of wood, the clearings and the gardens (including downtown full).

Distribution

This bird populates in particular Guyana (flat littoral) where it is rather common.

Food

Touï be consumes of all small seeds the graminaceous ones, flowers, buds and bays.

Behavior

Touï be is gregarious, except perhaps for the period of reproduction. It gathers sometimes in large rumble strips.

Captivity

Although this bird is very sociable in nature, in captivity it can be aggressive towards the young males and can even kill them. It is very social when it is young. it is loiseau the best for the amateur who wants a bird which does not shout but it makes mélodieuses singing exercise.

Reproduction

The nest is a cavity generally located in a tree: old cabin of peak, natural anfractuosity or excavation in an arboricolous termitière. The female lays from two to eleven eggs (generally five to seven). Incubation lasts approximately two weeks and the breeding of the young people one month. Half of the females tries one second brood.
