Tilt hammers
The Triballes are one of the people which live the Thrace during the period of the Antiquité.
They are established between the the Danube and the Hémus in septentrional Thrace. On several occasions they threaten the Greek cities installed on the coasts of the area (Abdère in 377 av. J-C which owe their safety only with one intervention of Athens).
In 339 av. J-C, Philippe II, with the return of its forwarding against the Scythian , is seen refusing the passage of Hémus by the Tilt hammers unless dividing its spoils. During the combat which followed, Philippe was overcome and failed to lose the life.
