Tibati
Tibati is a city of the Cameroun located in the province of Adamaoua and chief town of the department of the Djérem.
It is an old German city where one still finds many vestiges of the German occupation. It is the case of the buildings sheltering the prefecture, or certain rooms of the public school, or the old residence of the local German chief located close to the departmental hospital. The city is surrounded by a forest of eucalyptus and is bordered by the lake Panyere.
The city is surrounded by big lakes which are the origin of its poissonnière reputation. Tibati is famous in Cameroun for the quality of its fresh water fish which it is difficult to find on the markets, because often bought by the great restaurants and hotels.
The population is rather heterogeneous there. One notes however a domination of the ethnos groups Haoussas and Peuls, at side of which there are Mboums, Bayas, Baboutés, Tikar, Bororos, and some other ethnos groups halogens.
All the religions are present there.
