Three Soldiers
the Three Soldiers (in English The Three Soldiers ) is a Statue in Bronze built on the Mall with Washington, in the District of Columbia in commemoration of the Guerre of Vietnam.
The group consists of three young men, equipped and armed as at time with the War with Vietnam, and representing the three communities of origin Européenne, Afro-American and Hispanique of the United States. It was conceived as a complement, more traditional, with the Monument of the war veterans of Vietnam or Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The statue, revealed at the time of the festival of the war veterans or Veterans Day of 1984, is the work of Frederick Hart, arrived 3ème during the selection.
“The Three Soldiers” comprises one of the first representations of an Afro-American in the public sculpture in the United States.
