Thollon-les-Mémises

Thollon-les-Mémises is a common French, located in the department of Haute-Savoie and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

Located at the south-east of the thermal spa of Evian-the-Baths, the commune overhangs the Lac Léman. It is with the foot of the Montagne of Mémises, dominated by the Pic of Mémises.

It is a small village of the French Chablais, Pays of Gavot, which draws its resources from agriculture (bovine breeding ), of tourism (Ski station), but also of the tertiary sector of the close Suisse.

One distinguishes various parts on the commune:

History

Thollon-les-Mémises is a Ski station where one practices the Alpine skiing, but also the Ski touring and the racket. Festive animations of the ski station all the winter.

The summer, the Randonnée attracts many walkers, in particular on the path of the Balcon of Léman . Great village fair of summer.

Moreover, the Montagne of Mémises is a spot of very attended Parapente, in particular for the point of view which it offers on the Lac Léman.
