Third American fleet
In the Navy of the United States, the Third fleet (3rd Fleet) is the fleet responsible for the naval activities in Pacifique is and northern.
The 3rd fleet initalement was initalement created the March 15th 1943 under the command of the admiral William F. Halsey and was useful during the Guerre in the Pacific. The 3rd fleet was put in reserve the October 7th 1945.
The 3rd fleet was reactivated with Pearl Harbor the 1973 within the framework of a reorganization of the American Fleet of the Pacific, the fleet taking again the functions of the First American fleet and the American underwater forces of the Pacific.
