the Eagle struck down is the tenth volume of the Chroniques of the Black Moon, Cartoon medieval-fantastic realized by Cyril Pontet (drawing) and François Froideval (scenario) and published at Dargaud in September 2002.
The final confrontation between the forces of the Empire, which lost the support of the Knights of Justice, and of the Black Moon, ordered by Wismerhill, is a formidable battle, a long time undecided, where Wismerhill must show all its qualities of war leader and tactical genius.
the Eagle struck down is the first episode where the style of the drawing of Cyril Pontet (with the assistance of a new colourist) dissociates clearly that of Olivier Ledroit, author of the first tome cheeses of the series.
